Documentary viewing session at the PHITECO seminar

In January 2026, I was invited to present the documentary Smart Arm: A Human and Technological Adventure at the PHITECO seminar, whose annual theme was “Technology and Disability: Designing for Accessibility.”

On this occasion, a screening of the documentary was organized, followed by a discussion with the students and researchers in attendance. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the role of assistive technologies: what they should aim to do, what they should avoid, and how they can be designed with and for the people they are intended to support.
